Hi there have you had any luck with your wiring with the new 2.4ghz rx18? I'm having trouble and wanted to see if you figured it outTiggr wrote:Okay, so I have installed the new HengLong RC board into my Tiger and all connections have been succesfully made EXCEPT for the main gun firing/BB shooting bit.
I have deduced that the very thin white and green (? I'm colour blind) cable is the one which control shooting or is the 8 pin loom wired up differently ?
(My Tiger is a Taigen late production metal edition).
Can anyone help me out with this please ?
Thank you in anticipation....
Paul

Agreed Mr Herman. If you have any luck wiring to your upper hull please let me know and post a picture of your 8 pin connector after the success!HERMAN BIX wrote:I just got a set for my Jagdtiger, ran it up just to hear the sound on the Jagdpanther on the bench just now

Re: T90 board into Tiger 1 question
I wont have a rotation issue mate, as mines going in a Jagdtiger, but I just asked for a life ring in the electronic section to try to get a "for dummies" perspective on it !!

Re: T90 board into Tiger 1 question
I switched a T90 board into an old HL Tiger, but mine is wired so that I have:
Left stick - Left/Right = Turret rotation.
Left stick - Up/Down = Barrel Elevation.
Left stick = Fire Button + Up Right = Fire Main Gun and Muzzle Flash.
There is no BB unit or recoil.
There is no IR system installed.
The Right stick operates as normal.
If anyone wants the wiring for this configuration pop a post up here and I will post a wiring diagram.

Re: T90 board into Tiger 1 question
This is a wiring diagram for IR from Battlearmorrc (http://battlearmorrc.weebly.com/rx-18-w ... ation.html)c.rainford73 wrote:If anyone has any ideas please help me if you can. I'm sure others doing this upgrade could use the help too
It might help to clarify the situation for you. There are plenty more wiring diags here on the Forum if you search the index, and more online through Google.
My own approach to these hair-ripping niggles is to trace the wiring for each component individually. You can use a simple continuity checker (most make an audible sound when the line is complete
between x and y ..e.g. the component and the MFU..RX-18). Most basic multimeters have a continuity checking feature. By a methodical process of elimination, its possible to get all elements of the system working properly. I even made my own circuit plan using coloured pencils and a ruler. It helped a lot.

Before you start, though, ensure that the Tank's battery is fully charged, and that the RX-18's receiver is bound to the Heng Long transmitter. Sometimes people overlook the obvious. I had some odd behaviour with a 2.4 HL setup once where functions swapped around in a quite bizarre manner, simply because the RX wasn't properly bound to the tx.
There's a demo of binding these stock HL and Taigen units on Youtube, courtesy of 'Taigentanks' (Erik from Taigen) you may find useful. I've not seen the interior electronic layout of the new T90, but I don't imagine it differs from other HL setups by a significant degree.
Best of luck..
