Dean, ok you lost me at "flat sloped upper".

I'm planning to copy my Firefly I have in World Of Tanks which is named "Boilermaker" after a tank in a comic book series. However I renamed it "AVENGER" and have some rather nice camouflage on it and it IS a proper British tank with all British crew. It's funny if I give the crew tea and biscuits in their rations they perform 15% better in combat and the loader reloads .10 second faster. Amazing what some tea can do for a British tank crew in the game!

Believe it or not the tank in the game looks VERY SIMILAR to the pictures presented above! I'm SURE this is the tank the comic book and subsequent video game tank is modeled after. So does the tank pictured above require me to stretch the lower hull?

IMPORTANT NOTE! The above is all 100% true in the on line Xbox 1 version of the game World of Tanks and is in no way meant to offend or belittle any of the many wonderful members of this fine forum who call the UK their home.

The "boilermaker" tank in WOT is based on the one Tom is building and the picture he is building it from. It is an IC Hybrid with the cast "soap dish" front which is easiest described as a rounded front end.

I've managed to get her running this week, it's an IBU3 radial sound set, and the trusty tbu.

That Looks great!

More work done on her, first up was adapting the rear to a radial engine rather than the v8 the metal chassis is meant to represent. Luckily I have a stash of tamiya Sherman's who are destined to not be radial any more so spares are a plenty! Took 5 grinding drums to remove what was therebit worth it I think.





Next up is sorting the hatches. Need to make the holes in the hull but the hatches open!





Fitted the perescope guards:

And refitted the appliqué Churchill tracks:

The crater /spall mark on the left side turret just below the periscope guard..........is that a hit spall or a plan for something else ?

Yep it's a grenade launcher or like Tom says close defence launcher.

Ahem, rather nice effect you have with the casting texture & double muzzle brake you have there.

Missus at her mums this evening so time to make some progress on detailing the firefly. Reworked and detailed the rear stowage bin, detailing the turret bustle and the beginnings of the turret bustle stowage bin.
