Wow, WOW !!jackalope wrote:Hey Herman I happen to have a perfect H/L King Tiger lower hull if you want it it's yours, you just cover the shipping. Sound good? H/L KT lower PLUS metal suspension arms, springs and idler wheels all FREE!
Well its actually from my Taigen King Tiger but the hull is identical to the H/L. If you remove the Taigen sticker it is a H/Llet me know if you also need a Porsche turret I got it too.
Mate I will never look a gift horse( or tank) in the mouth!
Please let me know what it will cost to send and we can make a plan.
Will pm address.
Ordinarily an act of such benevolence is deserved of naming the next child after you, but as I am already the little old man that lives in a shoe, how about I just SEND YOU ONE!!

You're a champion mate, and I don't mean because you have a head like a spark plug

Re: MATORRO JAGDTIGER
Very welcome, it's been sitting in a drawer for almost 2 years since I swapped to a Torro lower hull and I didn't know what I was going to do with it. Well I guess I was saving it for you I just didn't know it.
I'll box it up tomorrow and check shipping. I have to box up Painless' 251 Stuka Zu Fuss and send it to him also. And Max's tent, decals and stencils. Geez I'm going to be bust tomorrow aren't I?

Re: MATORRO JAGDTIGER
Um, don't accidentally send me a 251 Zu fuss now will ya !!
The deal you set me up with still
Hurts to have turned down
Yeah well the guy that had them has dropped off the face of the Earth. Haven't heard from him in almost a month about buying more from him so I guess that's the end of that.
I'll check shipping today if I get off today early enough.

Re: MATORRO JAGDTIGER
Part of the dismantling was quite informative. The barrel on these is a resin casting over an aluminium tube for the airsoft pelets.
I have a rough plan to use a similar method of creating a recoil system using a cut off Pz III barrel as an anchor device to secure the Matorro barrel onto a recoil mechanism.
The resin material is rock solid into the mantlet, so the jury is out on this for now.
While I wait to see if Mr Jackalope's lower will be coming, all I can do is cut & sand.
So, I sanded the barrel outer, and cut the rear casemete door moulds off the rear plate.
The doors I reckon I can save to make hinge and close. It was a bit of an act guiding the razor saw through the entire lot without taking to much off, or deflecting the cut into the rear plate, so pretty happy with the result.
Also filled all the accessory peg holes on the main hull. I will be lengthening the lot so all these will need to be repositioned.
Being a late version, it will have three rows of spare track on the sides, this should also help to cover up where the join will be.
This is a strange one for me as I normally like to research a subject vehicle and go from there. But for now I have decided on a late version & thats it
Out of only 80-ish vehicles made, and the photographs of them from the day, there is a fairly consistent look about them.
I hope to find "the one" and base this on it.
