niiiiiiiice :D had to giggle as Im a bugger for going round shops and rummaging through stuff and thinking of what stuff like that could be turned into, glad im not the only one lol.
a great idea that does the trick perfectly, look forward to seeing more of your project. :D

may i ask where you got the conversion and its the mid model brumber .... yes like it ...

i hope mine will turn out to be the early and later i will do the late version .. i hope ... and you have done a nice job of the zimmerit ..... how did you dom that ?

Hi Iain,

I bought my kit from Modellino - see the recommended vendors thread for Peter's contact details.
The Zimm is milliput, each individual mark was made with a flat screw driver - it was an early effort so its not as good as I'd like (I didn't keep the milliput wet enough until I came to make the marks  :( )

My Tiger 221 build has benefited from that experience... ;D

If you can get a friend to turn down a gun barrel for you I'm more than happy to supply the dimensions, failing that you can try asking Peter to just supply the parts you are intested in... ???
I am going to try to get a set of early T34 track guards from his T34/76 upgrade kit - I need them for an early SU-122 build... wish me luck 8)

well .. at last

the bank holiday wekend is here and .. its sunny here in somerset .... and full of caravans !

so saturday morning and i think i will try to escape in to town early to avoid the crowds .. do may model shop for some brass

so here you go i have been doing some work on armour... its slow going as trying to work out a few problems ..

anyway enough chat ...pic  time


still have a mountain of work to do have not even looked at the chassis ... and should i zimmerit ?? yes i think so ..maybe
