Re: Plastic King Tiger Henschel-->Jagdtiger
So cool! I'm about to put together a torro jt so I'll def. look into those bearings for the shafts.
Re: Plastic King Tiger Henschel-->Jagdtiger
I had one more micro servo left (they come from a crashed rc airplane), I decided to use it to move the front MG.

If I may, watch that front MG servo I know I had a heck of a time installing one in my King Tiger, not as much room as you may think under that sloped armor. But it looks very well done.
Re: Plastic King Tiger Henschel-->Jagdtiger
You're right, I wasn't able to close the hull, I had to move the servo fortward and put the linkage under the servo horn. This is the final version with proper wiring.jackalope wrote:If I may, watch that front MG servo I know I had a heck of a time installing one in my King Tiger, not as much room as you may think under that sloped armor. And the wiring of the IBU2.

I also installed a Henglong flash unit. Here is a short clip of the final test before airbrushing.

Awesome; it really came together!! I want to do that mg servo trick too on my JT & KT when I get going on them in the future.
Re: Plastic King Tiger Henschel-->Jagdtiger
hello, It's now time for some paint. I really like the german three colors schemes, I find a color picture of 131 on Google image and I decided to use it as a base and I made some modifications.
The original picture, possibly a two color scheme (red oxyde, olive grün ?)

My interpretation.

I used Tamiya Hull Red instead of Red Brow.

And the third color I choosed is Tamiya Oliv Grün, not finished the green color yet...I'm still having troubles with the airbrush, It's very very difficult to learn.

Re: Plastic King Tiger Henschel-->Jagdtiger
It's looking great! I have a Torro JT in boxes (blank canvas) ready to go next here soon and that scheme is very similar to what I had in mind. That image gives a good idea, I think to how one looked in tri-color; some people have argued on other sites that that images coloring is faked, but I don't think it is. Anyways, we'll all be watching your build!

That is one great build! Not sure if you tried it yet but the FRS-8 speaker really has a deeper sound than the FRS-7 to my ear fits great with such a big tank! (I have it in my KT and Tiger I now)
