Terry found the travel lock, but I'll get the info when I get home, and I'll get some shots of the interior of mine. I'm still using the stock smoker, but I think I'm gonna go custom on that and use Normand's method.

Would be interested in that, is it an acoustic smoker? I built one a couple of days ago, wired it to the TPA, got some vapour but I struggled to get a stable platform that wouldn't fall apart

No, not acoustic, I just kind of soup up the stock smoker with a better resistor and a fan. The trick is to find a unit that has a nice quiet piston.

I didn't know those were so expensive. 22 euro for zinc and 49 euro for brass. I think I'll live with the plastic!

it does mean filing off the original. i just thought that it would be a nice touch. Pricey? Definately
Oh, connected up the JP400's with the Mato 5:1 brass GB's. Let them run for an hour solid at each polarity before connecting to the GB's.
Excellent torquey combination, makes a wonderful loud whirring noise, i like that. Substantial power increase

It's been way too long since we've had any fresh Jagdtiger action!!
I've done the servo-operated MG34 thing, but still haven't changed the LED to the warm white. I still want a rotating TC, but I'm toying with the idea of making him a cat. Of course that will mean he has to be removable for when the rivet-counter-detector starts a-buzzin'. Right at the end of the video (about 1:18 or so) you get a view of what i think is just the right amount of smoke. Just enough so you know it's there, but not enough so it looks like there's somethin' wrong with the engine, ya know?
I just installed a new stock smoker and swapped out the feeble airsoft unit, but I still have miles to go before I sleep ...
Let's see what you cats have been up to, eh?
