I had the wrong end of the stick as I had read some tanks have two forward speeds and even some had a ten speed controller. So long as I can make it go slow and gradually speed up I am happy.

Will look into each of the control boards. One of the reasons I wanted to try RC Tanks was so I could fettle, modelling and electronics - both areas I enjoy. I know I'll be updating at some point whatever tank I buy.

Thanks again.

I think I am going to end up going for the full metal Taigen. Will now look into who sells it and make sure they are not on the blacklist!
If you're going to spend that much for a Tiger, you should look at the Tamiya Tiger. I've got both the 'full' metal Taigan ( its not all metal) and the Tamiya is a better tank for the money.

Really don't think I can stretch to Tamiya, but I'm not rushing so will take a good look. Time to PM Forgebear. Thanks as always, great advice.

I now have a Taigen Tiger 1. Forgebear was superb as you all knew of course!

Sorry about the quality. A broken hip is limited my ability to do anything! However, the tank is a joy to use and I have just finished reading the Haynes manual, which has given me a real insight into the parts I am looking at on the model.

Thanks for all the help deciding!
