Double or perhaps triple check the batteries in the transmitter, some of the castings of the transmitters have extra tall plastic where the batteries connect to the metal tabs. This extra plastic prevents the batteries from making contact so even though you install brand new batteries they're just not making contact. You can bend the metal tabs upward just a little bit and that should do it, IF this is the problem that is. It may not do it but hey at this point what do you have to lose? Give it a try I hope it helps you.

Hi guys now my tiger won't work with a replacement transmitter so I have decided just to buy a new tiger 1 & transfer all the upgrades from my old one to the new one as the tiger1 is fairly cheap for the smoke/sound &it will give me plenty of spare parts ,tanker 242

Re my tiger,I have try,d a new transmitter & mfu & check,d all battery,s & wires & battery connections everything check,s out ok so all I can think of is the receiver board must be faulty ,tanker 242

Will the new one have a 2.4 rig?....if not ...I would say investing in the rig is better than another that might give you problems....I say this because you have to consider the 27mhz system is now obsolete...so what is being sold with them is probably old stock...The new ones have all started coming out with the 2.4
