Thanks for the input!

While I was waiting on my parts to arrive, I threw the plastic back on and got some pictures on a nice day. Here's a couple.

Here's some more shots of the upgrades. Got the new gear boxes installed.

Here's the layout under the hood, so to speak.

I made some straps for the tools out of copper sheet and bent straight pins for the buckles. Some of the other mounts are made out of aluminum and plastic tube.

Here they are mounted.

And dirtied down.

Still a bit I want to do to it, but it's almost there!

Looking good. What speaker did you use? How does it sound compared to the HL or Taigen speaker?

Thanks. The speaker is from a lap top computer, it's a scrounged item. It reall has a pretty good sound to it. I made a box up for it out of PVC sheet. I think it has a bit more bass to it than the stock HL speaker does. It does get loud, too! I've been restricted to the lowest volume setting while testing inside the house!

Here's a submarine post.

A buddy of mine is wanting me to make a set of schurzen for his PzIV, so I thought I'd make a set for mine to sort of test it out.

I used the drawings available in the download section for this project, available here, downloads/
I only had to make some very minor modifications to get it all to work. I figure this was caused by my mounts being off, rather than the drawings.

I used brass for the framework, and copper sheet cut and bent for the triangular mounting points. All was soldered together. Here's the hull frames prior to painting. Sorry, the pictures kind of blurry.
Image

I laid out the plates, then used the completed mounts to mark the back sides. Using bent copper strips, I soldered on the brackets.
Image

I reduced and printed out the stencils I uploaded to put the numbers on the turret scheurzen. Printed them out on card stock, cut them out, then taped them to the plates and airbrushed the paint.
Image

Here's the turret schurzen and the hull mounts.

Here's the finished project.

And a close up of the opening in the turret schurzen.

Yeah, this is a wonderful re-do Captain.
Makes me wish I didnt give away my schurzen for a IV :/
Im a bit partial to a white-washed tank, and yours Sir, is a very nice example of it.
