An update: I've made progress on the cupola, corrected the shape of the front fender springs, and worked a little on the cutouts on the back tail lights.

Cheers, Tom

First, the 1/35 prototype:

ALPHA,

Thanks! Absolutely. Also the fuel cap handles, and other miscellanous molded items--a lot easier to do this here than in 1/35 scale.

Well Alright!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbup: ...Everyone else besides me did only about half of them...good to know I'm not the only one crazy enough to do them all :haha:

I agree on the 1/35th scale stuff...I just finished a Sherman..in 1/16th I scratch made the scope protectors...on the 1/35th...I thought about it...once I came to my senses...said forget about it lol :{

A quick update: work continues on the cupola. I'm definitely exercising some scratchbuilding skills, but overall I am pleased so far:

Also received the sprue for the Tamiya 1/16 0.50 machine gun; can you tell which it is?

A little different from building 1/35ths eh Uncarina :D How are you liking the experience so far?

The only downside I've found is there aren't that many detail parts around to use....but if your scratch building skills are up to par ..and yours certainly are...there really shouldn't be too many issues ;)

ALPHA,

Thank you! Yes, that seems to be pretty much it. Perhaps we might see some more things come from Shapeways?

Yup...Woz is a Wiz at printing things up....His attention does seem to lean towards the Chally though ...but in time I'm sure that will be rectified ;)

But if you are really into doing things yourself....I found building mine along side ATC with input from Green Giant helped quite a bit ..So taking a browse through their builds is a good thing ;) ....it was a great deal of fun trading off on ideas and details added and not added lol...with ATC and Giant it was the grab handles :haha: :haha: ..with me it was redetailing the gunner's hatch :D ....Scalawag came in just in time to take all of what he needed and built his ....It was a matter of timing on those builds...but fun times for sure ;)
Takes a bit to browse Each thread...think Scalawags is the Easiest to follow...as in the rest of our threads there was a bunch of research and chatter going on :D

ALPHA,

Absolutely--I believe I've read all of their build logs, and yours as well! I really enjoyed them all, and found some great info and photos.

Thanks Tom
