I have no children left at home, and am afraid to get a pet because I fear it would be smarter than I am. Sent you something for yours. -Mike

Re: A Tanker Needs a Hand
So Max, how's the cat? Is it cancer? Will he be ok? You can't make a thread like this and then not update! What's wrong with you man?!

Re: A Tanker Needs a Hand
Good timing, Terry, I've just been working on an update. Unfortunately the desktop PC is being a real brat so it's been slow. I've had to write everything in another folder and then copy it over to here. This is what I have so far,
OK, Men, update time.
Mostly all good news, but first, another heartfelt Thank You to all who helped with this. You guys really are the best.
So anyway, the biopsy went well, and they removed almost all of what both the vet and the surgeon believe to be a simple polyp (lab work will tell for sure, but these guys are good and they're confident what the results will show) and the ear canal is now clear. The problem is that the stalk of the polyp is in the chamber behind the ear drum (if he had one on that side, his is gone but they tell me that doesn't necessarily mean he's deaf in that ear) so another procedure is required to go into that chamber and dig this bugger out by the roots. Then we should be good to go and my best friend should be with me for many years to come. The next procedure will be in about 4 to 6 weeks and will cost another $1500 to $2000 US but I think I can handle it (I may still have to sell a tank or two but I'll keep you guys posted on that). Did you know they have a credit card you can use at the Vet's office? It's a US thing called Care Credit and it's basically just that, another credit card (with a slightly lower interest rate). I applied and was approved so whatever I don't come up with by the time of the procedure will go on the card and I'll have a payment plan to take care of the bill. Unfortunately they don't give airline miles.
So thanks again to all of you wonderful animal lovin' tankers that have come to the rescue. It really does my heart good to know I'm part of a community that contains such terrific guys.
And here's a video of the little stinker himself. I'm sure he'll want to star in a few clips this summer when I get the village set up again, and maybe by then I'll have learned how to edit video and I can string up something about cats and RC Tanking.
So now check out the new lock-tight thread and see if you guys can help me solve that little mystery.

When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!
