Later it was made into a Transformer named Jet Fire.
It is....and you're right...it is the VF 1J from Robotech and Macross....the difference is the paint job...reason it's so sought after too...because it appeals to two genres ....Not sure you remember the first appearance of Transformers...but it was pretty much a flop...didn't translate well into the American market...Bandai was the main manufacturer back then...they also did the models for Macross ...which Macek changed to Robotech...the Transformer at the time Star Scream....was released first....originally on the Japanese Market...then the US...didn't do too well here as the cartoon was terrible ...A few months later it came out as Rick Hunter's jet with different paint and packaging ....I kind of kick myself ..because I had a chance to get a bunch of those from KB toys...they used to clearance stuff at the end of the year...man..they had those marked down to like 15 dollars :O ...Robotech was then released a few months later...since that was a hit ...those jets pretty much became a rare commodity ...not sure what a mint one is worth...but I know it's a lot...broken ones still go for what it sold for brand new back then :O

Believe it or not I had 3 Transformers before they were called Transformers. Jazz the 911 is the only ones name I can remember but the other 2 were a red Lamborghini and a white Corvette.

The ones I still have are the old die cast ones....only two...I forget the name of one of them...has the form of a MI 24 Gunship...the other is Bumblebee...when he was the Volkswagen :D
That Star scream came out when Megatron was turned into a gun the original was almost 1to 1 scale...in the shape of a Luger...I guess it was ok back then ...but I think people found it a good alternative to buying a real one and used it for unlawful deeds ;) Bandai did a re release about 5 or 6 years ago...way off scale so the same problems wouldn't arise lol ...think the Transformer franchise jumped the shark when they went to dinosaurs and insects :haha: ...though those were more popular with kids ;)

A Walther P-38, not a Luger.

Mine were die-cast and plastic and were out before there was a Bumblebee or Megatron.

They BECAME Transformers once the Transformers were named Transformers. :haha: But when I got them they had no name, make sense? I had them for almost a full year before they were Transformers, my Jazz was a silver 911, not white but he was the same as Jazz right down to his face and license plate #.

:haha: ...OH...but the big question is.........do they have the Hologram Transformer sticker on the roof :haha: :haha:

Think I might have the 911....the wheels rotted off...I forget if I threw it out or gave it away ....might have stored it in a safe place lol
