I am now waiting to see if you can build a Leopold out of fencing panels, :P

Sculpting that front end is no mean feat, what with getting the multi link suspension lined up and working, excellent job! :thumbup:

Thanks Rob

It's not that hard to do its just having the balls to try it ...so far I am kind of happy with how it's going
but once I get the first layer of million on the top and check the " look " and contour then I will be happy ?
I am more worried about getting the turret ring and engine deck right that going to be the biggest challah get at this stage
as for the turret ..that's easy peazzie ..well that what I keep telling my self ...

Hi all

So a Wednesday evening and bugger all on the TV to relax with..misses went to bed early and my fingers started twitching ..I pick up the m103 and started looking and measureing and thought ahh it will only take a hour to do the turret ring so off I went and cut the disk out and worked out the correct height glue in place ...oh that didn't take long ..and so I carried on ...

Meanwhile as the clock ticked and sky news on I beavers away ...I forgot how many cups of coffee I had lost count after the second pot ? ...but I bashed on being the turret ring and began to worries about the height of the motor mounted in its gearbox ...as I worked closer and closer I started to sweat thinking I would not clear the height ...

Phew as it happens I have to file the lip of the gearbox to just clear it with the top of the engine compartment good ? Pannal ? ..

I finally got my head down at 5.30 am or so ..and could not sleep then as I was pondering the dreaded loovers on all the engine decks putter panels ....that battle I have to come ..

So far I am really happy about how the measurements are working out ..I really have copied the dragon kit fairly closely with in it to mill add or taken a away to achieve the fit and shape ..and more important the look ..need less to say I am happy ..but then again I may well still be asleep ?

Any way ..pic time

I wish HL/Taigen and everyone else would junk the high level gearboxes and just have low profile ones with long or short shafts. They would then fit in any tank without having to worry about getting them under rear engine decks. :{

Coming along nicely....and yes, that was a 'close' fit. :clap:

With results like that Mcevoyi....Losing sleep is normal ;) ....It's like you just have to reach a certain stage before putting things down...Hope you are getting some rest now ...because it looks like you really went above and beyond :D

Hi all

Just a littel work over night

The fenders are a lot more complicated that I first realized ...and I add so detail to the hull front to get possision of the lighting and lifting hooks right ...
