Hehe Herman, I have heard that a few times now. Have a couple of friends with kids and stuff on the shelves, just goes up, as the child grows :)
But its actually nice to have a few tanks to switch between. When I get frustrated about one of them, I can just go build on the other one and come back to the first, with a fresh mind set on it :)

So, not much of an update, but I have installed a proportional smoke unit and mounted the switches and volume control. Can reach everything by opening up hatches :)

Image

On/Off switch, in the drivers seat (The only one I can reach into, when the tank is "parked" )
Smoke on of in left engine hatch and volume in the right engine hatch

And I would like some advice/feedback on the tracks. I really like the way they are now, with a little sacking from the support rollers, but they do seem to be falling off a bit too often.
The "adjustable idler system" isnt really that good, so it took me some time, just to get the tracks to have the same tension/slack.

For some reason I just like the look of the Panzer IV...a very practical base...too bad it's rumored the HL will be discontinued

Hallo Arnie, What a nice job you are doing with the Panzer 4,
I have never had a metal hull so I do not know whether it came with track adjusters or not, usually with the HENG LONG Panzer 4 you end up buying a pair of after market adjusters and fitting them yourself,
I do not think I have ever seen or used a good pair of track adjusters on a Panzer 4,
I do know that the after market ones have to be used with great care or you will break them,
Your tracks as you have already noted are too slack and I would give serious thought to removing at least one link from each side and see whether that helps to keep them in place on the wheels and sprockets,
There is one thing you must do if you have not already done it, you must make sure the tracks are properly in line with the wheels, rollers and sprockets because if they are not you will never keep the tracks on.
Have you given any thought to what Abteilung it will represent?
Peddinghaus, Archer and Elite will all do one off decals for a price so it is possible to have your own individual Panzer 4, if you decide to go with a unit serving with the Afrika Korp do remember that Peddinghaus will not be able to make or sell you an Afrika Korp Palm as it contains the Swastic  shaun

Alpha, I agree. I have come to love the Panzer 4 a lot! I just love the look of it! :D

Jarndice, I have tried several times, to both remove and add a link and adjusting the track tensioner, but I might have to end up rethinking the hole idler/track tensioner setup, since its just very badly made. It works okay for now, when driving on an even surface, but as soon as I take it outside, the tracks will start ridiing on top of the idler and sprocket wheels.
And yes I have an abteilung in mind. Since I'm from Denmark, I have kinda set my heart on Panzer Division Wiking. Just because it was mostly comprised of Scandinavians :)

Suspension... not that great. Have had the bend them up a bit, because they get stuck in the tracks during reverse. Now they dont get stuck in the tracks, but there is nothing in the form of suspension. Looking into finding some proper leaf springs for both the Panzer and KV-1. Suspension is really what killing me here...!

If you can...get those HL springs...before they discontinue the model ...there are still other alternatives...but those Taigen springs are just bad ...reason I didn't upgrade to metal on my L70...everything else is good though...like the rubber on the wheels...have a set on my F2...really like how nimble this tank is... :D
