The postman delivered today a bottle of Gorilla poop, or snot, whatever you like, so I glued a few rubber pads on one of the tracks.
On the first 5 I used a bit too much, so after one hour the snot bubbled out.
No problem, when dry you can cut it away.
Next test I used less glue and that was after one hour perfect. No snot, no poop, no bubbles.
I did one complete track, has to dry for 24 hours so will test it tomorrow on some different surfaces.
I think a few minutes 360 turns will do...
Tomorrow we'll see... good or bad...

Can't find Goop in Europe.
Only on Ebay and then it's Mostly "Shoe Goop"
And I don't want to wait 3 to 6 weeks to have it here.
Found a seller of Goop in Florida but there's no option to buy...

TWO 360 turn on carpet, SEVEN pads came off.
THREE 306 turns on the street.. ELEVEN extra pads came off.
DAMN, this SUCKS.
And AGAIN not any glue residue on the pads.
Looks like the pads are not made of rubber, but made of silicone stuff.
That's probably also the reason why they so damn sticky to the surface.
When do a sharp turn the pads starting to curl up.
They do not slide out like the way they slide in, they curl at the sides and then simply pulled out.
Now I'm very UNHAPPY !! !! !!
?

?
And all the companies who are saying: THIS GLUE WORKS ON EVERY SURFACE, they SUCK TOO !!

Sorry about the dubble posts...
Alpha, or anyone else with FULL METAL TRACKS...
Those tracks are black, will they stay black?
I mean is it black metal or is it just sprayed black?
I want to buy some new full metal tracks at RCTANK.de
http://www.rctank.de/Leopard-2A6-metal- ... -or-Tamiya
I have now those:

Mixed feelings after removing ALL the pads
Put the tracks back on (no pads) and it drives much much better now.
A 360 turn goes 3 times faster.
Corners are better to take.
All in all, I think it's better for the motors, the battery and my electronic board too. (less power needed)
So better go bare track, don't use the rubbers
pffffff...

Use instant gun blueing to turn the metal black. It's not paint it chemically treats the metal and turns it black. It's as close to permanent that there is.

Hey Darkas...they come black... not sure if it's painted or blued...as it is coming off where the tracks run on cement ....but the metal compound is definitely different from the standard Heng Long stuff...as it isn't "silver" underneath the black...it has that "rainbow" tempering look like the Matos and Taigens...they are beefy though...I like them a lot

COOL!..Nekked tracks

..Maybe fill the gaps where the pads were with poly metal epoxy

...or something like JB weld
