the new project still ain't arrived so i though i,d try putting a flag on the Pz III, looks a bit bright but i,ll tone it down a bit later.
it was as i was taking these pics i noticed my work shed had been ransacked a lot of models and about 30 yrs of my book collection was gone along with the kids bikes and a lot of my old army gear. turns out the scrap-man who came to take our old washing machine saw my room open and decided to help himself. luckily for me one of the neighbours saw him going through my work-shed and phoned the police who now are talking to this little scumbag!!
stupid bloody fool me forgot too lock it when i took the wife out this morning, so the moral of this story is if you have an outside workroom ( LOCK IT )
as you never know what thieving little BA@&%RDS are about............tony.

Sorry to hear about your gear mate! The flag looks tremendous, don't tone it down too much, that's what it was meant for.

my 1/16 tigers were both bust up and i don't have the heart to rebuild them, so i,m gonna go back to doing 1/35 scale.
i have a couple of things to finish for a couple of guys but thats it for me...........tony.

Oz don't let the thieving git get you down, I am sorry to hear about this. the PzIII looks great and is a credit to your skills as a modeller. all I can suggest is take a couple of months away from 1:16th and build some 1:35th scale and see how you feel in a couple of months.

Tony, you've had setbacks before and you've bounced back stronger than ever - I know you better than to let some thieving erk get you down. Modelling needs you in both scales as your talent is so broad. I'm not blowing smoke up your @rse but you need to keep going. See you tomorrow for a good talking to

Jeez Tony I'm really sorry to hear about the break in and loss of so many of your models and books. Have the police apprehended the b@st@rd yet! All that work is irreplaceable so I empathise with your feelings right now.

Any chance that items can be recovered if the police get the culprit?

I too have an outside workshop/shed and it's always been something of a nighmare to imagine it broken into and ransacked.
I think I'll put some extra padlocks on it now.

Anything I can do to help replace/repair some of the things you have lost let me know.

spent most of the morning at the police station, all my books are gone apparently he weighed them in ( whatever that means ) all i got back was some of my old army stuff the daughters bike and that was it.
i,m only starting to remember what else he took, all my trophy's medals and cups from about twenty years of model show competitions are gone as well and most of my figures and a lot of Armour models plus all my army medals and the pressure hose i clean the car with  .
i suppose its my fault and cant blame anyone else ( although i would like too ) but 30 plus years of books and my army awards i cannot replace, it feels like he stole 30 years of my life as well as everything else.
we do have house and contents insurance but the insurance people are saying as it was my hobby/workroom and not inside the house they are looking into whether they should pay up or not but even if they do it still wont replace what i lost, so if you have insurance check the small print.

The only person who's to blame is the scumbag who nicked your stuff. If it wasn't for people like him then there'd be no need to keep everything we own under lock and key.
