Air vents? You lost me I'm afraid. Let me know what you are referring to, I'll hold off on the clear coats till I see what you're talking about.

The zim on the sides turned out great but the front end it almost washed out all the camo, may have to do a little dry brushing to bring the camo color back.

I know that everyone says the devil is in the detail, but it is so true with this Tiger 11, the highlight is by a long way the use of stencils instead of decals, it helps to give this Tank presence   shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Ok I see what you're referring to Kiaser, thanks I'll get them later.

I did a little dry brushing on the front to high light the raised areas of zim and it worked! The colors came back, even the little white boxes with the "S" in them. I hit the wheels with a second wash and added just a hint of chalk to them as well as the side skirts and to help with the exhaust pipes rust look I added a fair amount of chalk to them and cleared the whole thing to seal the chalks in. The difference is subtle but it makes the raised portions of the wheels really pop out! Considering trying a dusting over the whole tank to see what effect it gives me, I figure I can always just hose it off and the chalk would be washed away if I didn't like it. Anyway on to the next round of pic details.

Also going to hit the zim on the front of the turret a 2nd time with a wash as it seems most of it was wiped away the first go round.

No, honest my only other tank I worked on was a H/L Tiger that I put a few details on changed the lower hull to try to make it run better but with this one almost everything has been upgraded. The only things left that are original are the tracks and running gear and upper hull everything else was replaced. And yes this is the first time I've done this type weathering and detailing.
Glad you think it turned out OK so far.

And the Mrs said you couldnt have it eh !! :wtf:
Now you have made me run off & eye up my Octopus KT to get it a bit less fresh
I bet the guy in the shop that "gifted" it to you will regret that decision. :haha: :haha:
On first look it seemed quite dark, but I pissed around with my screen settings(thanks kids) and got it back to where I think it should be.

Buy that man a beer

Thank you very much Herman. I had taken it back down and showed the guy at the hobby shop and he really liked it, had lots of questions about the IBU2 setup. Seems him and some of his friends battle R/C tanks but strangely enough I haven't been invited to join them, I'm thinking its cause he doesn't want to line up against my King Tiger.
