So its been a long time, but here is latest stage of build.
I have swapped very unreliable internals for 2.4GHZ, which works perfectly. Also added TARR smoker, which is fantastic.
I started adding fine detail PE, but decided with my current capabilities of tooling, patience and time this was not such a good idea, so called a halt to it and the tiger is now broken down and primed! :D
Looking fwd to paint and all finishing touches - hopefully not too far away now.
Going for sand (tan) spray with dark green and red brown field added camo.

Cheers man, its funny how much time and effort I spend thinking about a model tank :haha:

I have seen a good scale external stowage rack for ammo box on ebay, but never seen one on any real pictures - anyone think it is a good addition to model?

There are pictures of early Tiger 1s with external "Ammo" racks on the turret, some are in place of the rear stowage box,
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

So its all painted and ready for finishing touches.
I have a very cheap (well it was free) spray gun, so results aren't great, but I am telling people its the 'in the field' camo job :haha:

Once all the bits and pieces are on I will attempt a small amount of weathering, just to blend it all in.

For a first project I have learnt alot and am relatively happy with results - will give it a spin out and about soon for some action shots.

I am pretty sure next project will be a Chally 2.

Thanks to everyone that helped along the way.

Thanks canned heat - I am pleased with it :)

So first proper test drive today (and unusually for here a bit of sun)

Love the busy look of early tiger, all functioned well, tarr smoker is good improvement.

Think track tensions might be slightly out as it seemed to struggle to turn left, also not much power when on grass, is that just a standard HL thing??

Currently trying to decide if to do another tank or not...........
