Cheers rayzzer, might leave it for more and finish my other tanks first, it's starting to sound abit daunting to do the recoil mod to be fair!, will let you all know how it goes when I do it!

Hi sponge.. hope you dont get put off like the old saying goes nothing ventured nothing gained.. what i do is take photos an make notes then you got reference , it may seem a hard job but it do come together .you only have to worry about 4 wires three for the gun recoil an elevation ,, the thick wire goes to ground ,, neutral i connect it to the power, on- off switch hope you take the plunge :lolno: the electronics in heng long is not too difficult just practice mostly trial an error  Ray.

Hey guys quick update, metal tracks on, seems to run fine, will see how I get on as the tracks stretch over time may need idler adjuster in future, we will see. Here's a few pictures, nice bit of sag

Sponge,
Now that is a Pz IV to be proud of. ;o) I'm loving the tracks, the paint, the battle damage, everything. It really came together nicely.
regards,
Painless

Very good looker you have there. Why not just buy another with the ir and recoil already installed.

Hey greengiant! I probably will when I have done spare dosh, want to do a king tiger next but as panzer iv F1's are so cheap I might do a DAK one of those. Anyway added some spare track links to the hull and blackened them with gun bluing solution and the main tracks, will make some brackets soon to hide the pins i used to mount the spare tracks
