I remember seeing this but I do not think I was in the UK at the time, it had to be 60s or early 70s and if it was shown in Britain I have yet to find any one who admits to watching it! The only programme of that period with a military background that most people remember was "THE PHIL SILVERS SHOW" (BILKO) Ask any one in the UK what military person they remember it will probably be Captain Mainwaring (pronounced MANNERING!) I doubt he has received much air play in the USA!

ALPHA my friend I do believe this is yet another example of "Two peoples separated by a common language" All I can add is that you can think yourself lucky that "Dads Army" was not inflicted upon you.
