Reading all the way through the link on RC Universe... There is a video of a complete run through of the Taigen tank...( presuming that we get the same tank in Europe) it has some interesting features with the gearboxes, the idler wheel adjustment and the turret rotation bearings..its 16 minutes long but its worth a look....Here is the Youtube link ..

Nice link Dietrich. I think that video shows that it's a well put together piece of kit.

Hi Steelhammer,
I must admit that I was quite impressed with the build quality of the T-34. Even the suspension units can be removed ( for maintenance or to be upgraded), which has to be a good feature.

Indeed. Apart from the running sound when it's on the move it is a real cracker. The weight, the feel, the general smoothness is all very impressive..
The battery it came with doesn't seem to last for very long but hopefully that will improve with a few more cycles.

Just my two cents on the stock Battery Steel... get a better one :haha: ....the stock battery wasn't meant to power a 20 lb tank ;)

This is what I've done to mine. 1600mah Lipo, velcroed to the hull, deans plugs, and a lipo alarm. 100 mah less than the stock battery but it gives me almost 15 minutes more run time than the stock battery. I think I might be able to squeeze an 1800 Lipo in there however. Will try when I return from vacation.

What does the lipo alarm do ?

If it's less capactity than the standard battery how does it run for longer ?

Warns you when the battery is low...I don't use any of that stuff for mine...just run the Lipo and go from there...with that said...if I made the investment to upgrade the internals...it is something I would definitely think about...but really you don't need all the additional bits ;) ...Jumping to a Lipo would definitely improve your play time ten fold though...it's probably one of the best investments you can make :D

The one thing you will need is a different charger...normal chargers won't work with Lipos...as an added note fancy chargers really don't make a difference as you really shouldn't speed charge a Lipo ...normal balance chargers do the job fine ;)
