Good Afternoon, Nathan,
After dealing with broken mounts in my M26's lower hull in a recent puppy related tank wreck, I am going along with Jarndice's recommendation of a metal lower hull if at all possible. The added value of usually having torsion bar or other advanced suspension components then is a plus. Plastic upper hulls and turrets or metal turrets are also a great recommendation. The Taigen Tiger 1 Kit build that I am trying to get started will have the layout Jarndice has recommended. Metal lower, plastic upper and metal turret. Whatever you get, you are on one of the very best Forums for build tips, tricks and assists. Enjoy and lots of pictures when you get your new tank.
Happy Holidays,
Painless

Sorry Nate...Never had the urge to take the risk...I've heard they've cleaned up their act...and they list some cool items...but there is just too many negatives against them

Tamiya Leo 2 is nearly all ABS plastic with a mostly nylon gears box yet is probably the strongest and best 1:16 available. It comes down to design and quality of materials.

Nathan Hi, When I first started buying from TANKZONE he was ace and that appears to be the experience of most people, and then for no obvious reason he goes bad on you, I joined the Forum and read the BLACKLIST and straight away wrote in defence of him thinking that people had got the wrong impression of him, but no, I was wrong and they were right, he did to me just as he had to others, if you read the BLACKLIST my name is to be found defending him, but not for long. What can I say? There are other dealers out there who we list in the RECOMMENDED list who we do trust, so why take the chance when so many members of the Forum have had a bad experience with him? It is your free choice but it is also your MONEY!!!! shaun
