jackalope wrote:We had a set back here at my house in getting the model kit, my daughters 8 month old puppy got into some of my modeling supplies and chewed up a tube of model putty possibly swallowing some of it. We rushed her to the vets where they cleaned out her mouth and pumped her stomach and right now she's on medication so that hopefully her kidneys and liver have not been damaged but only time will tell as the putty contains Toluene which warns of kidney and liver damage if ingested. Her vets bills so far have just eclipsed $400 half of the money coming from my tank fund so right now I'm back to square one in obtaining the kit. Right now the best I will be able to do would be 3 more weeks as I get paid bi-weekly, sorry everyone but nothing I could do.

I'm now the "bad guy" around my house even though it was my wife who moved my supplies off the table and onto the floor in the corner of the dining room with no warning of her doing it or asking me to move them elsewhere, I have pointed this out several times but it was my "damn toy crap" that has "almost killed the baby". :/ I can't win!
Sorry about the dog, Im in no rush so dont feel any preasure, im sure we can all wait. Your wife is no different than many of ours I would suspect. My wife calls the hobby "the other woman" and I remind her that she should consider herself lucky! :haha: I cant get my tanks pregnant or bring her home any deseases! :haha:

Plus I even sell most of mine to pay for more projects so it dosent even effect the household income... still not happy though... Women are very hard to please all the time... :eh:

Do what I did, suggest selling the house and buying a much larger one to have my own Mancave/tank room and then let her think shes won by settling for building a 15' x 30' room onto the back of the house for my tank room..... :D

I had the cellar but then my oldest wanted it to be her bed room, I had to take down 12 HO scale miles of double track main line rail road, turn table, round house, city, switching yard, coaling tower, steam, mining town, EVERYTHING! Then I had my 2 car garage but its been filled up with crap that my family really no longer uses to the point I can hardly fit my car in it! My family has run me out of every where I could retreat to so now I use the kitchen counter or dining room table and if anyone doesn't like it they can pucker up and kiss my ass! :haha:

One of the advantages of my Girls growing up and leaving home is that now "My Study" is by co-incidence the second largest room in the house,
of course it is getting ever smaller as I expand my collection of tools and Tanks.
The trouble is that the garage is unfashionably filled with cars!!! :haha:
It certainly helps with loving relationships although the Tanks are and always have been "TOYS" to the light of my life  shaun

She seems to be doing fine tho the medicine has given her a SERIOUSLY bad case of the shits! Its terrible, poor little girls butt EXPLODES every time she goes outside. She cries when she goes to sit or lay down, the vet said its cause her butt is so sore from pooping the way she is.

Yeah about kids leaving, my oldest in away in college most of the time but still can't use her room it just sits there empty. My moms old room I was going to clean out and use but my wife says she wants my youngest daughters friend to have it as her room when she comes to spend the night. WTF?! Someone ELSE not even one of my kids gets a room in my God damn house and I can't? :lolno:
