just following your thread alpha , the mesh I got was from a sieve from the local £1 store .just hope the asiatam recoil unit will work on it for recoil &flash .as it is not the rx 18 unit in the new 2nd generation 2.4ghz .tanker 242

I don't think you will have any problems fitting the recoil unit in it....HL makes an IR version too...their recoil is huge...so there is plenty enough room for the asiatam :thumbup:
I got the first gen of T34s as they entered China and the US...at the time the only mesh available was from the Trumpeter kit...and heck if I was going to buy one of those at 150+ just for the mesh lol...at times my methods are very old school...I like to try and use what I have available...the mesh I finally used was from a thrift store...also cost me about a dollar...the best thing about going that route is you have plenty to work with..and use for other models :D

well after a day off ,I got the mesh screen done & the louvers fitted today ,as well as a commander figure done ,I might add a driver figure as well.tanker 242.

Not sure you are into it Tanker...but there is a nice set of Soviet Female Tankers on EBAY UK...full crew ...Sorry couldn't find the link or a photo ..but they are out there

hiya alpha oh! yes I am , ha! ha! addictive isn't it, I have been building tanks since they first made them by airfix 1/72 scale ,then moved up to Tamiya 1/35 scale made nearly every tank by them ,now moved on to 1/16th scale ,two,tiger 1s, Hachette one & heng long one[ moded],one heng long pzr 4[moded] kv1 [moded] now t34/85 in prosess of modding,as per your thread, tiger 1 new commanders hatch [late one], road wheels[ steel ones] mantlet &,barrel,[ metal] mesh grills, antenna shortend & moved to right side, proportional smoker & fan, asiatam recoil& flash, open`d driver & radio operators hatches ,replaced with metal ones,dragon unit fitted,i can list the pzr4 as well as the kv1,iff you like, no offence meant but i am shure you take a break now & then he!he! .tanker 242

I know Tom got a set for his KV... resin cast really nice crew ....if I find the link or picture will post...don't worry they are nothing like my female figures in my tanks..they are actually well sculpted normal crew ;)

Is that with the newer (smoke button) 2.4GHz set? Still not bought one as each time I look either the radio gear or turret rotation seems to be on the brink of improving....

hi robW yes its the new 2.4ghz with the volume &smoke on/off button on the control where the crystal used to be on the old one.tanker 242
