Hey Painless, can you do me a big favour and stand one of the Dragon 1/18's next to the FOV commander and post the picture ? I wanted to see how much height difference there is between them. Saw a set of four on eBay for a reasonable price and might just pull the trigger on them.
I know the FOV commander is quite tall almost too tall but this will give me an idea.

Happy to oblige. Both of my Dragon figures are designed to sit on vehicles or objects but I lined one up to give you an idea of proportion. I have Left to Right facing the camera, a 1/18 Ultimate Soldier with BAR then the 1/18 Dragon 1944 Italy Campaign Soldier then the 1/16 FOV Tank Commander. The Dragon figures are realistic and very well made. I hope this helps!

Painless thank you and you have read my mind buddy......... I also came across the Ultimate Ssolder Set on eBay. Which one do you think I should go for ? The Dragon or the Ultimate Solder set ? The Dragon one looks better from your picture.

Michael,
The faces on the Ultimate Soldier set are very expressive but having said that, the Dragon Soldiers are painted up nicer and the joints are so much better that there is very nearly no comparison. I would spring for the Dragon set. Very nicely made, more of a 1/16 scale proportionally than 1/18 and a bargain for the price. Also, don't forget, Sassgrunt made mention of Taigen coming out with prepainted figures for our tanks like the recent and very nice Torro ones.

Thank you! I'm not in to the level of detail that you regularly achieve with PE so that you enjoy my efforts is a big + ;o) A lot of the pieces on the Pershing are HL's originals from years ago. It shows that they are not up to modern standards but I dressed them up with paint and weathering since it was important to me that I keep as much of the original tank in use as possible. I'm pleased with the results since B-12 can sit next to 'Maxene' and 'In The Mood' and lose nothing in the comparison.
