I think if I were to jump into 1/6th scale I'd rather land in one of these bad boys!

Love the spin they've tried to put on this:

"... and is painted in meticulous detail."

Apart from the

"Paint chipping, Paint under/over spray"

:haha: :haha:

Field of Armor Tanks has come a long way, Loic has invested in a MAKERBOT 3D machine ,Spin casting machine and purchased or undertaken manufacturing agreements to create some fine metal and or resin detail parts.

FOA-Tanks does seem to be focused on the PAINTBALL BATTLE aspect of Large Scale armor but many involved including myself have stressed the need for quality and Historical accuracy.Which Loic responded too with some fine detail parts being offer, allowing product flexibility for many of who prefer to build historically accurate armor.

The original PSS suspension did employ the GERMAN Method of full length Torsion rods and control arm mounting, his redesigned MPSS system uses the same design technology, the same cat's eye springs yet all arms point and rotate to the rear and the solid rails were replaced with a formed laser cut metal rail.

The control arms are layers of laser cut metal attached to a short control rod which mounts in a bronze bushing inserted into the formed laser cut rails. These require forming by the Hobbyist Yet seem to provide some of the same strength as the original pss solid twin aluminum rail design.

The retaining clips allow some adjustment of the spring tension, yet the rotation limiting factor of the PSS system still applies as the springs are designed to tighten on the control arm shaft at 22 deg. of rotation limiting the movement and eliminating the need for BUMP STOPS.

FOA-Tanks has made the investment in metal track production which is a great move for large scale hobbyist. Hopefully the company will continue to grow and meet market demand with products we want at affordable pricing. QUALITY remains the unknown factor, with all new offerings in large scale the forums and feedback will quickly focus on this issue and reveal the facts about the construction and quality.

The Hulls are constructed of metal inner hull sections with ABS MATERIAL laser cut as external hull components. This seems to proved a lighter weight yet retains much of the strength of the original solid metal construction.

FOA-Tanks continues to gear up for CHRISTMAS and hopefully will present our community with some interesting products very soon. Also the M3 Halftrack and 251 SdKfz conversions are progressing to RC Versions based on there successful original laser cut static kits.

Check out the links guys, many detail parts are also available for purchase now. And more coming. Post here and let Loic know what your interested in seeing come to market and post feedback on Facebook and Youtube concerning the Tanks he demonstrates. Ask questions, express your opinions as this is the best way to help FOA-Tanks grow and become a stable product line in North America.

Field of Armor Tanks has a Youtube site and a facebook page with several videos which span the evolution of the current product line over the last 2 years.

Something about a 200 pound 4 foot long Tiger tank is VERY appealing to me. However the fear of a divorce prevents me going further. :haha: If I SOMEHOW can pull $3000 out of thin air I'm ALL over one of these!

The 21st Century 1/6 Stuart is a lot more manageable if you can find one and shouldn't require remortgaging your house.
