Painless, I have a few BP revolvers which one are you looking at? I have more fun with my BP revolvers then any of my other guns. Which include 2 1898 Broom handle Mausers, 1913 Luger, 1896 30 caliber Mauser rifler, .38 caliber 5 shot snub nose revolver, 9mm Beretta, and several custom .45 caliber 1911's. Considering getting a few 80% lowers for building my own AR's. Oops, sorry for the tangent.

Oh god I want that IS-3. Alpha, what are you doing to my wallet. STAHP

I adore black powder shooting too. My father has all the nice antique stuff. For BP I just have a reproduction .50 Hawken and Italian made Colt Army Sheriff. Got a mess of cartridge guns as well but BP is style. :shh:

Jackalope,
A Pietta LeMat. Very nice collection there!, both of you! I'm going into BP to be able to start shooting again. BP guns have a different sort of report when fired and with enough ear protection, won't aggravate my tinnitus like my cartridge firearms do. Back to tanks! I'm really tempted by the Juckenburg Jagdtiger but I have so much to do already with that Stug appearing out of nowhere and rampaging into my time frame. ;o)
regards,
Painless

For the JS-3 you will need a HL KV lower. It only comes with upper/turret and plastic wheel covers for the HL KVs. It is a very nice kit. You can top it off with the absolutely gorgeous muzzle brake from DKLM:

I kinda of did a review/build thread a while ago. I loved it and you will too. I have since replace the barrel with a scale one and has a DKLM muzzle brake waiting to go on it.

Painless, you're in the states so check out Cabella's, everything is mail order and comes straight to your door in just a couple days provided you don't live in one of the communist states that banned mail order BP guns. Check out the 1858 .44 revolvers, they're what I have because they have a top above the cylinder which strengthens the guns frame greatly! They fire .454 ammo so it's really a .45. Make sure to get the BP pellets instead of just powder they make life soooo much easier! Also for primer caps you'll want ones that are magnums they produce more fire to light the pellets off. For cleaning alot of people use hot water and soap but I never liked the idea of putting my guns in the dishwasher, I use automotive brake cleaner as it removes all the powder residue and drys leavingnothing behind. .
