New Taigen T-34 IR
Re: New Taigen T-34 IR
Yeah...that tank is pretty heavy isn't it...Sometimes it does depend on the Seller though... I've bought tanks from Canada...and the costs for shipping weren't that bad...sometimes less than ordering partsjtracks wrote:I'd bet $30-35.00 dollars to the islands.

How does amazon work? are the shipping costs locked in or do you have to contact the seller?

Re: New Taigen T-34 IR
Amazon, via the seller, gave me shipping costs at final checkout. At that time, I could have cancelled my order. If your looking, check with Artistic Hobbies. They are in Texas. They would have shipped for free to Ca. however, even with the free shipping I would have paid more overall via Artistic Hobbies. I just happened to catch the tank on sale via Amazon and Phoenix Model Co. It is now the same price as Artistic + shipping. I bought my Panzer from Artistic Hobbies. Nice guy, very helpful.ALPHA wrote:Yeah...that tank is pretty heavy isn't it...Sometimes it does depend on the Seller though... I'll have to try and contact them...I thought I read that they don't service Hawaii...but that could have been somewhere else ....not in a rush for the T34.. already did a lot of work on my HLs... the most I would want is the entire lower maybe two loljtracks wrote:Amazon, via the seller, gave me shipping costs at final checkout. I am on their (Artistic Hobbies) pre-order list for the Sherman. If they do as good a job (paint, fit, and finish) as they did on the T-34, it will be a nice piece. However, the HL Sherman I picked up from a private party for $100.00 works, runs very well.ALPHA wrote:I'll have to try and contact them...I thought I read that they don't service Hawaii...but that could have been somewhere else ....not in a rush for the T34.. already did a lot of work on my HLs... the most I would want is the entire lower maybe two loljtracks wrote:Amazon, via the seller, gave me shipping costs at final checkout. The Sherman does hold interest for me...though my plan is to strip it down lol...do a bit of part swapping and bashing and make twojtracks wrote: I am on their (Artistic Hobbies) pre-order list for the Sherman. But I guess I won't be doing it with Artistic ....so I might just have to make an account with Amazon when it does come out

Good Morning,
Artistic does ship to all 50 states but will not ship things deemed hazardous like paint or cleaners outside the lower 48. The free shipping sale is also a 'lower 48' thing as well. That's a bit silly as I know they would have customers in Hawaii looking for those new Taigens and parts.

I guess contacting them would be best ...not a big deal... though I would like to get a few more taigens....if I can't ...I'm happy with HLPainlessWolf wrote:Good Morning,

fyi Phoenix model is Imex, the same company that imports them into the states so from a service side of things it should super easy. Anyway your fix is a very minor one and there is nothing wrong with your tank. I am surprised they didn't walk you through the fix over the phone, its that easy.
The guys at Imex will fix it and return it.

Re: New Taigen T-34 IR
That's interesting FreakyDude. I wonder why they sell their tanks via the Phoenix name at a much lower price than the Taigen/Imex web site. I hope the fix is an easy one. I was really looking forward to doing some battles with my Panzer. Hopefully they will get it back to me within a couple of weeks. Thanks for the reply.FreakyDude wrote:fyi Phoenix model is Imex, the same company that imports them into the states so from a service side of things it should super easy.
