I don't know anyone that has ordered from them. Hobby Link Japan on the other hand is quite reputable.

8 or 9 tanks ...I would say it isn't totally impractical...if it can be worked into your budget...maybe just keep an open mind on certain models... you'll be surprised at how much you save.... and how that saved portion can go to other detail bits or incidentals

On the brand thing I know it is a lot of hard work modding HL to a bare minimum standard but like Painless sort of said that is 1/2 the fun. And even with adding metal upgrades, Clark boards, sound, motors, gearboxes, and maybe a few other bells and whistles, I'm still at LEAST 1/2 the price of a Tamiya all up. I'm not bashing Tamiya at all. I wish I could have 20 + Tamiyas but with HL I can do it financially...

Seriously though I have tanks that are complete mongrels, my sturm tiger is a mix of tamiya, taigen, asiatam and henglong!

I love my tamiyas but I've never paid over £300 all in for one.

Keep in mind Jake...Tamiyas don't smoke....so just a tad more added expense.... smoker + exhausts ...and mod for the exhausts

I like metal tracks on a tank, been looking at Tamiya's for King Tiger £190 Is there a way round this can you use other's...

That's another thing Jake...Tamiyas are prioritized.... sprockets wheels etc ... have to be Tamiya or Impact...Tracks as well...

Just my 2 pennies worth at the min I only have one tamiya,some torro, a couple of taigen and most are heng long and as Tom says a mongrel mix but it all depends on how much your using them, yes they are nice sitting in the shelf but better when your getting them used.same goes for whatever I used my Tamiya trucks or my rock crawlers , I enjoyed the build of my trucks and crawlers but I look at it this way when it stops becoming fun and you think it is a chore then that's the time to think is this the thing to be doing ?.it all comes down to how much you can afford and what you can spend on a collection.but back on track one brand would be good but some companies don't make the models we want so you have to compromise

I actually have henglong panther tracks on on of my tamiya panthers. Tracks are pretty interchangeable, gearboxes just need a couple of holes drilled. You'll also need different sprockets or get your dremel out and grind down the output shaft.
