Shin...let me introduce Mcevoyi.... probably one of the best scratchbuilders on the board (since I've been here anyway ) he has built just about anything with tracks or wheels... and is still continuing ...There's no stopping him I tell ya ... No kidding he's one of the best... Maybe not the fastest or flashiest... but the work he does is outstanding

You have perfect timing Mcevoyi..... I think if anyone else...you can give Shin a good idea of what it will take to make that super tank

Thank you all for the very kind comments .
...i been very quite over the summer months ....and been reflecting on the hobby ....watching ..and seeing what people are building ....to a certain extent it seems to go round and round ...nothing really new ...as we all wait with baited breath for the new releases form heng long ...and maybe hoobens ...but really its heng long ...that will pop new tanks out ....

I have been expecting the challenger 2 for a number of years ...as well as the abrams ...most of the time was taken up with licensing problems with the two new tanks ..all is resolved ..and production is well advance with the first tanks hitting our fave retailers in mid october ...

But what about the future ...hl have some really good well tested chassis ..
That are not really used for other marks of tank ..the KV ...bulldog and pershing
Spring to mind ,...i expect ...soon ..very soon we will see the kv chassis use for an ISU152 ....and possibly the well wanted JS-3 ....

As for me ...well ...i do like my german paper panzers ....but there are just too many builders doing the same ..over and over again...i do have 3 that are part built ...and may never be finished ?......because its long past time that that the allies paper tanks ..were studied ...built ....and sent in to the field of combat

I have some tanks i will begin to build ....they have never been built in 1/16 ...
I will need help on the electronics side as that so not my thing.....
So lets give you all a clue
I will be starting with as many pershing chassis and bulldog as i can find
Shermans later ...i will build the m6 heavy tank ....


Watch this space ...lets give Fritz ...something to think about ..

The M6 is not quite as big as what you wanted to find, it is only slightly bigger than the sherman(almost 2m longer).

Well Mac... you practice another far more advanced aspect of the Hobby... You can't really compare what most of us do and what you do...For the most part..you take the normal to the extreme...

I know since I've been here.. I've watched your builds in awe ...I also liked all of the models you have shown....especially that Paper Panzer

Thank you for your participation again... I think there is a lot to be learned from your expertise
and the M6 will sure be a welcome change to the current flow of things... even if I will soon be adding another to the group of Tigers currently prowling the board

Good observation Shin...... what Mac has done is given a first lesson... that would be to watch... learn.... and study what he finds necessary for a build...also to keep an eye on what's coming..... budget yourself for future plans... and basically go with the flow

He is also saying you have the basic for what you are planning for... but need more

Thanks guys i decided to go big and finish the T28. While i was purchasing the tracks i came head to head with a problem-how do you connect the inner tracks with the outer tracks, you have to drive both of them, right? Plus, i did not see anything sticking out of the driving wheels or the tracks. Thanks.

It'll look better if both tracks are driven....better get a set of good steel gearboxes....as driving two sets will put a lot of stress on the gears....the idlers and wheels shouldn't be a problem...follow your picture...the Sprocket is where it will get complicated...What I would do is get another pair of axles...grind to length... Machine down one end and thread it so it screws into the one that extends from the gearbox... some calculation would need to be done in order to get the proper length...but it can be done....
