As next was the railing on the agenda, once again tinker parts, at least the foot and handrail. For the balusters I used skewers; here's a photo with the wrong scale for the railing - fitting.

Image

Then in the right scale completed the railing rod for rod. In the front area, because where the two clamps sit, is the handrail for the coiled area already mounted.

For today's report end once a few views with inserted stairs.

A bit grinding is still missing, but so it goes already for me.

The framework for the construction of the floor in the upstairs hallway is still open, therewith I'll start today.

Image

Here are the parts already sawed, notched and once loosely put together.

Image

Subsequently then the assembly, simultaneously with the two thick middle rafters; the stairs loosely with in between.

Image

Image

Then the two remaining thick ceiling beams and the corresponding rafters were sawn and mounted. In the interstices 50% I've used slimmer ceiling beams (10 x 5 mm) and rafters.

Image

Here the assembly of the thinner beam ceilings...

Next part follows...

All ceiling beams are installed, only missing a few rafters and then later as a conclusion the battens for the roof tiles. Whether Mr. roof plumber also comes - I do not know exactly.

Next, I will devote myself once to the two floors (floorboards) in the lower and upper hallway. In parallel, the bricklayer must come and brick lining the walls in the staircase area - then it goes further outdoor...

I had promised floorboards in the lower and upper hallway. Comes, but first I've made timbered of the rafters. One more time partition wall and the rest as jamb walls.

For the manufacturing of the two floorboards there is not much to say; I've used ledges 20 and 15 x 2 mm. The gap is closing slowly, here images...

Then were the rafters and the frames additionally with wooden rods connected - better safe than sorry.

The toothpicks were cut off and sanded afterwards.

pic118.JPG
Then came the bricklayers for the first time, for the representation of the already plastered wall I've used a foam board.
And between every now a case of beer against the dust...

How come my craftsman actually on the roof?
Good question, resolution soon...
