Good Morning, CH,
I just ordered a Gurt sack for the MG34 mount and a pair of binoculars for the fellow holding the log book. I think that those will be the last things that I do for the 'Palace' for a while. For my next tank project, I want to update my elder HL Pershing like I did for 'In The Mood' earlier this year. The complete Tiger 1 build I am saving for those frozen winter months when I will _really_ need something to cheer me up and keep me focused.
regards,
Painless

You need to take your Gigant out for a spin as well. The KV-2 is such a blast to drive and play with.

Indeed Painless...a commander would be a nice touch for that one...maybe when I finish my L70...kind of stuck on the gun support right now...trying to figure out what material is best to fabricate it ;)

On the pain of being shushed, here is another post on my Crackerbox Palace. ;o) Deciding that the 'Palace' was still too clean for a tank even with a heavy duty pin wash and flats applied, I looked around and found a couple of small accessories that I got the idea of from Scalawag's excellent Tiger 1. I painted and added these and performed some moderate weathering tonight using a couple of the nice Tamiya weathering kits. I'm completely pleased now and hope that you all are as well. Pictures:

That looks great Painless. I think the level of weathering is just right and sets off your excellent paint job. 8) 8)

I like the added details too ;)

Paul,
Good Morning and thank you! ;o) The 'Palace' is something else all right. ;o) I look at it and tell myself, "you're corked, no way you could have done this". ;o) I'm working to bring all of my tanks to this level of 'done' where any of them can be picked up and run and amaze any onlooker. My elder Pershing is up next.
regards,
Painless
