I reckon It could be either way, you know what there like sometimes they play ball and just when you expect them to perform in front of a crowd they let you down big time hahaha.
Im sure it will be ok although I must say its very quick off the mark might need to try some different gearing on it.... Is there a gearbox out there that makes it look more natural in moving ?

If we be talking tanks.... yup.... :haha: ...you can opt for a lower ratio gearbox....more torque and slightly better turning.... but a lot slower...Welsh should have a slightly better selection than Dave (forgebear) but you can always ask first... ;)

hi rich
you can use the black steel 4.1 or if you want to mod the base to take a set of waltersons gears then you can get down to a real low speed

I thought the watersons had a base that fitted straight into the tanks ? but you reckon this is the way forward for the gearing

they do come with a plate and they have 3 pinion gears that you can change to make them low
they have a 24 tooth and a 20 and 18 plus the late ones have a steel drive shaft not brass

as they only fit the heng long base i guess the best way to do it would be to take out taigen plate and offer up the waltersons one on top and redrill the holes
