The idlers on my Tiger are 100% plastic and the part they screw into is molded onto the sides of the hull. I plan to replace these with metal idlers however the ones I'm finding have a metal axle and an e or c clip to hold them on, how would these work on the tank if the stock ones are held on by a screw? Would I need to drill all the way thru where the screws went and thru the hull so the new axle would go thru and be clipped on the inside of the hull? Either way I'm sure I'll figure it out when the parts get here.

GIjoe76's washer idea worked perfectly!

I think with the axles and c clips you will have to drill through the existing screw hole and use the c clip on the other end.

Jack Hi, The metal axles do as you say come with "C" clips if you can fit "R" clips it will make life easier for you, I did that to the axles on my Panzer 4 and it makes access much simpler. shaun

I had read that someone on this site sold the upgrade parts I'm looking for does anyone have any ideas? I've found a few suppliers but because of the shipping charges the parts I want double in price! Damn Atlantic ocean!

Jack, Hallo, I don't know where you are in the USA but there are dealers across both America and Canada, albeit few so I would suggest you scroll down to the RECOMMENDED dealers list where the likes of IMMORTAL HOBBIES can be found and of course HOBBICO and IMEX, as to high prices from overseas dealers, I do know that http://www.welshdragonmodels.com exports across the world and has a very good reputation with customers in the USA as does Forgebear at " theallertons@fsmail.net" both Steve at WDM and Dave Forgebear are very helpful and come highly recommended. I do hope that helps. shaun

Hello again Jack... One of the dealers I have come to like for parts and stuff ...the Devil's Kitchen MATO MART :haha: :haha:
http://www.matomart.com/main.php
They do a pretty good job servicing the US ... not so good overseas...and they are terrible at emails...with that said...they do try to answer questions and problems best they can
I would say they have a good amount of accessories for your Tiger... less the Photo etch stuff
So I can easily recommend them :D

Good Luck

ALPHA

PS... another benefit is they award "points" which later translate to absolutely free stuff... as shipping is included when you redeem the points :D

Thanks Alpha they have what I want in stock! The road wheel set costs more from them but they have free shipping so it about balences out but it'll get here faster then from either the UK or AU. I think I'll probly get this stuff from them just cause the shipping will be quicker and I really want to make sure the suspension doesn't break on my Tiger.

Now its off to the gunshop to get some blueing for my tracks!
