Q:when making brass exhaust covers, how do you know the length to cut to include the curve ?

Re: Tamiya panther refurb
I started off by bending the angled base. Then I placed that on the tank and made a note of where I would need to start the bend, just went from there!doc larsson wrote:sweet tom

Re: Tamiya panther refurb
It's coming along very nicely now, the detail is a pain but its always worth it in the end. Keep those pics coming!

Looks stunning! This will be a fantastic Panther, one of my favourite tanks.

Re: Tamiya panther refurb
Another build thread that I've neglected despite making progress. The Panther is now finished for paint (aside from hub caps). Lots of details added, schumo mantlet detail set, aa mg frame, aber pe fire extinguisher, aber pe antenna holder, voyage pe clamps, pe jack holder, aber 2m antenna, schumo antenna base, schumo sprocket hub caps, working headlight and convoy lamp, aber high quality mg34 and a new commander.

Re: Tamiya panther refurb
tom, the panther is looking good. I have to ask where you got that "action figure" ! Not your average calm and collect German commander.

Salubrious Mr Hugill..............The brass detail work is exceptional.
I am also curious about your rather 'assertive' commander figure
Seems he has places to be & things to do.
