Lister, believe me you won't regret it, wife's wrath and all. Took me a while to decide but I am so glad I did it. The kit was amazing and the whole thing just came together so nicely.

hi michael,
i don't doubt it for a minute, it looks fantastic.
just supposing i was interested but only had a kv1 lower hull
would i need anything other than tracks & drive sprockets to build the basic kit?

lister,

I started off with a HL KV-1 lower hull with metal tracks and sprockets. The one surprise is that I needed to replaced the HL KV motor gearset with a low profile ones (Like from Tiger I) because of the height. The kit comes with a hub cap for the sprockets, outside part of the boggies (you reuse the HL inside part of the boggies) and replacement idlers. That's it. Oh, and you will also need a cog gear for the turret. You will also need to completely remove the back plate on the lower hull of the KV.

That's it........... If you go on Juckenburg's site, you can tell the HL parts as they are factory green and the parts he supplies are in rust brown.

i only have a lower hull with suspension & wheels as i thought in a moment of madness i might scatch build a js3.
i built a 1/35 one & started looking at the turret shape 8O
that was as far as i got :haha:

Did the heavy MG on the top of the IS3 come with the kit?
