Hi Keith,
The smoker is a standard Taigen one. The new clear ones which are available seem to be more durable than the older H/L ones with the black plastic body. The heater element seems more robust, and I think they are a bit quieter too. RCTank.de have the proportional ones in at the moment, I usually get mine from there, very reliable retailer.

If you want a non proportional smoke unit it is easy to swap out the proportional circuit board.
On this Late Tiger I the proportional smoke control is via the IBU2 board, so the smoker unit itself only needs to be a standard non proportional one.
The exhausts are moded so that the exhaust smoke comes out of the stacks. I used milliput to close up the hollow backs of the stacks. The tubes from the smoker then need a hole drilled for them in the back panel, and are fed into the stacks. Just make sure you don't block the stacks completely with the milliput. Its a bit fiddly but straight forward really.
Where abouts in West Sussex are you? I'm in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

Re: Tger I outdoors
Thanks for the information, could this set up run from a tamiya MFU?
I'm about 15 miles north of Brighton, but my parents are in Westham, which is just along the road from you.
Best Regards
Keith

Hi Keith,
I live a about a mile and a half from Westham
I don't have any experience with the Tamiya MFU, but I don't think they support this smoke unit. Perhaps ask in the Tamiya electronics section and someone will chip in who knows I am sure.
If you are ever down this way and want to meet up, then just give me a PM.
