Folks,
Firstly - A Happy 2014 to you all.
Secondly - My apologies for not thanking everyone for their input sooner.
Thirdly - I experienced a weak moment on ebay this weekend and bought a pre-owned HL Panther G.
This one is the very basic model, with plastic everything and no smoke or sound, but does have a fancy cammo paint job.
The same vendor did also have a HL panther G pro version with metal tracks, sprockets/idlers/gearboxs etc but I was outbid for that one!
Upon getting the Panther home, I tried to fire it up to check it for correct operation but it was DOA out of the box.
After changing the batteries in the Tx and swapping out the tank battery for one from my Tiger, it still wouldn't go, so off with the lid!
Upon lifting the lid, I found the +ve battery lead had become detached from the tank's main on/off switch, so a quick dab with the soldering iron and away she went.
Now for sourcing some upgrade bits!
I'll start a new thread for that - HL part numbers are another world!
