1944 M4A3 105mm
Re: 1944 M4A3 105mm
Thanks Painless, ALPHA and Scalawag for the info. I agree, it is a glaring inaccuracy. Sort of like that double ridge in the rims of the HL Panther road wheels. Once you notice it you can't "unsee" it.

Good Morning,
Thanks, Alpha, CH and Scalawag for the follow up on the tracks. I'm glad that helped out, Jeff. ;o) Some parts I wanted are ordered, some like the IR Turret and MATO running gear are on hold until located or I can do a fix. After the hoopla of Thanksgiving is over, I should be able to get busy on the actual build this weekend.
warm regards,
Painless

Re: 1944 M4A3 105mm
Good Morning again,
Alpha, did you get another Sherman or a KV-1 so as to start on that KV-2 build we have been thinking about collectively? This Sherman was put on a block to lift the tracks clear and all the functions tested on Monday. Out of curiosity, I just ran it around the Library. Solid functionality and fun. The crystal sets from HL are about as good as they will ever get in these newer tanks. The 2.4 GHz stuff still has them beat tho' not by as much as it used to be. Video? My camera has a video function so maybe.
warm regards,
Painless

I'll say later ... I'm kind of enjoying how so many people received stuff on monday... I think palepainter got a KV-1 ... read it somewhere.. you got your Sherman.. Horses got a bunch of bits ...so I'm just going to be hush hush... as the one I just got... was jinxed almost from the point that I ordered itPainlessWolf wrote:Good Morning again,

I agree about the 2.4s ... but for some reason ... if there is any "crystal" tank that works really well.. it's that SHERMAN...the one I have runs like it has bearings
By the way Painless.. did yours come with the fancy history of the SHERMAN?... I didn't see it in your unboxing photo
You have a fine Holiday too...

Greetings,
'The History of the Sherman' was built into the User Manual for some reason on this one. Saving pennies again I imagine. It made for a nice read. Happy Thanksgiving! ;o)

Good Evening,
Alpha, I agree, it is a nice plus for HL to include the insert. I took a pic of the cover and the next couple of pages to see if your booklet contained the same info. My box was not the nice Walterson's box either since the guy did not have the IR version I initially ordered and I agreed to buy the Pro BB version instead.
