Amazing thus far guys, for your CAD drawings are you using just pictures for all the details or do you have blueprints etc to work from?

Keep up the good work.

Well, I have two sources.

Thefirst one is a 1/25 paper model kit. The other is a 1/35 plastik modell.

And for several details I use photos of the original one.

Wow I am shocked again by the skill level in this hobby!!!
I'm still getting excited just by thought of adding metal hatches to my HL post Christmas!!
Can't wait to see this finished project.

Heureka, it is done.

The launcher is ready.

Well, almost.

I did a lot of changings according to the grinding-parts and material thickness.

I got the new sets and they are assembled.

As you can see, there are a few parts missing. That is because many small parts are now in metall but not done jet.

So I will add them as soon as possible.

The wheels are also made of metall and I am waiting for delivery.

Here is the actual shape of the second prototype.

And I will describe the newest steps.

Here you can see the mounted PIII return rollers.



I also changed the Hentec-tracktensioner into a self madfe one.

Not because it is not good. It is very good. But I wanted to cut down costs.

Of course, if you want, you can use it. The kit is prepared for using an external one.











The turret rotation unit has a new box, too.



Here you can see the almost finished middle launcher frame.



And now a few pictures of the upper launscher frame in konstruction.



And of cours there is a assembeling menu. Here is a small view.

Here you can see the lifting unit mounted inside the lower frame. It is totally easy.

Just two centric pins and doublesided tape to fix the unit.



This is the highest evaluation.



I think, that is ok.

If everything is mounted correctly, you can also move the inner podtracks.



I will post new pictures, when I finally finished the model.

It will be done by mid may this year. It will be completed including electronics to make it work.

Heureka, it is done.

The MLRS is finally finished.

Well, almost.

Actual status:

Grinding-set is corrected, received and assembled.

Metal parts are prepared, will be moulded and must be added to the model.

Wheels are on there way.

Here you see the actual condition and the last steps:

There are some parts missing on the second prototype. That is because they are metal ones or at least be needed to mount other parts.

The return rollers are in position.



I also replaced the tracktensioner with a self-constructed one to save money.

Of course the model is still prepared to use the Henntec-one.











The turret turning device has its final mount, too.



This is the almost completed middle section of the rocket frame.

Here you can see the mounted elevation device. It was very easy to get it working for the frame.

Two pins for adjusting and mounting and doublesided tape to stabilize it.



I thought, it would be more difficult.

This is the highest elevation.



Should be enough, shouldn´t it?



Let´s continue withthe frame.















If mounted and assembled correctly, both frames can be pushed and pulled.

Again the mount of the HL-elevation device.

At last the two pulled inner frames.



The metalparts finally arrived.

A hook before and after drilling.

The reduction gearplate is also made of metal to add the bolts.



The rearlights also look better in metal.



The eyehook at the front, right side. The left one is similiar.



The hinges are also all made of metal. So the still consist of two parts instead of four. And if you drill them correctly, the will work.





The cramps for the engine back plate are from metal, too. They were difficult to grind.



Lets go to the next steps.

Because I wanted to make it work, I took an old HL-electronicboard and out it onto a panel behind the gears.





There is also enough space for the receiver boerd.





Batterie still fits, too.



The loudspeaker found its place in the crew cabin under the roof.



Here you can see the metal parts on the right side including the handles.

The gratings went wrong. I had to reorder them. That´s why they are still missing.



Engine compartment cover is completed.



The two areal mounts must be adjusted.

Kabelhole mußt be drilled to the cabin.

Because this is an US-MLRS version, it has two antennas, one on each side.

The weehls finally arrived.



The tires are now black, so don´t worry.



Added the inlays.



assembled both halfs.



At least wheels and missing chassis parts added. Tracks mounted.





Testdrive inside the appartment done and survived.

Works just fine.

The front part is a little bit heavier then the rest. That will be r adding the whole rocket pod frame.

Testdrive done. Everything is working.

I finally will change the radial arms into metal ones to stabilize the chassis.

That´s because this baby weights almost 6 pounds.

The whole kit consists of almost 740 parts.

Ansonsten wird es so wie er hier zu sehen ist, nächstes Wochende in Munster zu sehen und zu testen sein.
