That's what I thought. I don't want another one but even I'm tempted to offer him £50!

How would I go about changing the gear to make the hummer drive slower? I have an updated motor in it and the original 540 spare.

Someone said change the motor but heard I could change a gear? 16t or higher?

Crispy made me buy a crawler motor which is great, loads of that torque stuff but keeps the top speed down to a slow jogging pace. I'm sure he will post a recommendation that's defo his area of expertise!

Yep its true, I held a gun to his head until he bought it! :)

Link to the 70 turn motor both RM and me are running in our Hummers and Landie is below:

You can get 80 turn motors that will slow it a bit more and give a little more torque. You probably already know but with motors, the higher the turn count equals slower top speed but increased torque. I have another one of those 70 turn motors that I fit in my Axial Wraith when I use it as a crawler so they're plenty enough for my wants and best of all they have a built in fan to help keep it cool!

Pinions wise the lower the tooth count equals slower top speed but increased torque, so basically you want the smallest pinion you can fit. The TA01 chassis has loads of pinion mounting options which is why racers love them. I think the smallest it takes as standard is a 16 tooth pinion. That's what I fitted to RMs Hummer. It still a little but faster than my Landie but that's due to the different CC01 chassis it has with a larger spur gear. It's a good idea to replace the Tamiya soft aluminium pinion with a steel one so they last longer. The alum ones wear out quickly and then start eating the spur gear which turns any gearbox grease into a grinding paste! Robson Racing are the Tamiyaclubs preferred choice:
