Top work on the detail, you are including items that I have never seen on a Panther before and never knew were there?

Good Morning Phil,
Thank you for the tool tip! That looks much handier than one inch square pieces of 1000 grit.

Good Morning Wibblywobbly and Eastern Front,
I bow to your amazing Tank building capabilities, Gentlemen. To receive praise from my peers is a heady thing. I am walking in the footsteps of giants like Jeff1101, Phil, Edwin, Red Devils and others here who are working on Panther Builds so detailed that it is as if the tank it self has been miniaturized.
warm regards,
Painless Wolf

11th Day work included Hull and Deck add-ons. Mostly painting and detailing the accessory parts Tai Gen had included. A lot can be done with them provided you want to play around a bit. Trimmed the Driver's periscope hood before attaching it. Much easier, no tab sticking down. Looked at the jack and jack mount. The mount was ok, I just silvered the handle for it but the jack needed something. A spray and pray with dunkelgelb later, I was much happier with it's appearance. It can be easily seen on the rear hull bulkhead now. Some reflector paint with a liquipen and then I looked at the barrel travel lock. I detailed the chain and grab handle and looked at how Jeff1101 had made his more usable. I don't feel confident enough to drill all the way through the base for a straight through pin mount but I believe I can put two shorter pins in, one to each side for the same usability. That's something for the daylight hours tho' Eyes are done for the evening. More fun tomorrow.

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement, Gentlemen. 12th Day work involved making the static barrel travel lock usable. I've seen a nice metal one with working chain and latch but looking at Jeff1101's Build showed me a way to use the existing molded piece. I had my doubts about drilling successfully all the way through the base like he did but I could and did drill .38 of an inch in from either side. Cutting the base hinge loose then, I sanded lightly then cut a .75 inch 1/24 metal Sherman track pin in half to use as the pivot. a couple of drops of glue on the ends and I had a working travel lock. I saw a picture in Panther GQFCD that showed a sort of pad that the barrel sat in when the lock was up and being used so I painted one into the inside curve of the barrel rest after I sanded it. After that, I painted the fuel overflow line and the headlight cover and electrical cable. Having working spare track hangers made the difference in painting the tiny overflow line without making a mess. More fun tomorrow.

Good Morning, Doc.
That was purchased from 21st Century along with the figure for 5.00 US a few years ago. There is a better picture of it here in my Heng Long KT Show-Off thread.
