10 out of my 12 tanks have Taigen radio/receiver set-up with MAKOs on all of them and ATRC on most of them, I just don't have the Dragon because of the MAKOs otherwise I would have loved to test it out. The ATRC is basically a Dragon minus some bits. As Kevin says almost all of them needed some specific "fitting" to make it work with the Taigen set-up.

Let Kevin send you a replacement board first and see if it is faulty. If it isn't then I think it is a Taigen compatibility issue which moving wires/locations of things probably won't do it. I bought two Dragons couple of months ago but then realized that it won't work with IR tanks at the same time (It uses the IR port on the Taigen) so with Kevin's amazing customer service and support I ended up putting in the MAKO with ATRC on all my Taigens which I know will work, some with tinkering on my end. Unfortunately with Taigen's build-in 2.4 Ghz receiver you cannot use the double RX-18 method to get rid of hull recoil, so in this case the cheapest solution is MAKO with ATRC if you cannot get the Dragon to work with your Taigen tank.

MAKO/ATRC and Taigen will be a nice bonus anyway, you get Light/Medium/Heavy tank classes, battle status report, bergpanzer capability, HL, Taigen, WSN and Tamiya battle compatibility.

Contact Steve at WDM and let him know you wish return your Dragon. Steve will let me know and I will send you a new Dragon direct from OZ. At the moment Dragons are out of stock here but they are in production and due to ship from China on April 9th.

Finally the 2 pin connector should be marked LED and is for connection of a LED. If you have a Taigen tank then you will have a flash unit down the barrel so you do not need to worry about this connection. It is provided for people like me who like to have scale barrels fitted so that a 3 mm high intensity LED can be used as a cannon flash instead.

Kevin is the owner of RCTA, maker of the Dragon. Just follow what he says here and he will send you a replacement directly.
