without measuring, as a rough eye guess they look around 1" 1 1/4" heads so 1/16" heads would look ok. got a feeling someone will have to proper dimensions though.

Here is a great site in Germany http://www.knupfershop.de/shop/ that got allmost everything in bolts and small screws...and what makes them really great is that they are shipping the bill along with the part so no wait for bank transfer ect...

Hi Brian,

your question is not so easy to answer. On a tank was screwed different sizes of bolts and nuts, depending on the size of the parts and the necessary downforce for the bolt. For determining the real size of nuts and bolts you must measure in scale drawings. The (in german: Schlüsselweite SW) Across Flats (the distance between the parallel sides of a hexagonal screw) provides information about the used metric thread (see in the table). A scale drawing in 1:35 printed in double size is approximately a scale 1:16.
The result is not guaranteed to fit, so that the rest is a decision to you; is it better to take a bolt a bit smaller or bigger. How streetfighterjeff wrote, you must get a feeling for it.
The size of nuts and bolts that I often use is M1, but sometimes it is better to take a size smaller (because of Appearance) or a size bigger (because of higher strength and more downforce).

How much would it cost to make a few sets of cleaning rods to sell on the Forum ??...Or is it incredibly time consuming and so would be VERY expensive ?
The guys could supply their own wood, you make the ends....

I am honored by your confidence, but that's not a question of money, but more a matter of time.
Yes, I have a lathe, but only because a friend make me a very good offer. I am not a professional on the lathe and have no professional experience.
Rotate from time to time a certain part for someone could possibly go, but I can't give a general promise.
I hope you have for my decision understanding.
