The paint outside does not bother me so much as the over spray,

It is still extra work to correct an expensive product.

Some may say you cannot see it so why bother, yet it is visible once opened. And that feature of easy hull access is a selling point. Yet this too is the best PROFESSIONAL EDITION KING TIGER Torro has to offer?

i Started this post attempting to show the tank as objectively as possible, yet the defects are real and the post tomorrow will be a video. The issues I will not only outline but detail in video of the defects of the tank functions are clear to see.

Bottom line Torro has done much for the Hobby, yet they need to improve the quality control, especially on such an expensive product.

Yet the defects with the paint are easy to fix, there is no reason why the latch should have been jammed.

But who knows, many here remember the Heng Long assembly video,in their "FACTORY" of endless stacks of tanks being assembled by hand and people working on tanks, the issues were plain to see.

Well tomorrow I will try to get the video done ,watch, observe and by all means guys write your opinions!

Thanks Jussek for sharing your views and experience with Torro.

cheers,Blake

Point well made Eastern Front. Sorry guys for the Delay on the Video. I will shot a video today and post this evening.

I think at that point everything about this products condition and the features will be presented for you guys to determin the quality.

I like this tank over all it is a fine piece considering what was available just a few years ago,and how far Torro has come in just the last year. Yet this is their best! Failing on Quality Control though can make any product a disappointment.

One other point, the Drivers and Radio operators Hatches if opened and turned incorrectly will cause upper deck paint at that location to be scratched. Future post in My build thread from this point on.

Well I have received some information and the fault with this tank which I was going to show the membership may in fact be the small spring type limit switch,

This is a minor fix and if it corrects the problem then it is a small issue and not deserving of to much negative focus against TORRO.

Before Phil died he sent me several of the new air-soft guns which have the same type switch, really more of a single wire contact breaker, than a true limit switch.Yet a simple single retaining screw and it is replaced.

At which point the video will follow, one other point i will try very hard to show is the way this thing moves, solid, stable gun platform, the suspension moves but the hull and gun remain stable.Very cool, the heaviness of this monster really makes a difference.

Also in my build thread I have added a few notes about upgrade parts I have, sorry for the delay guys.I jumped the gun committing to the video so soon before understanding the gun fault and the number of other things in my life preventing me from completing the task. I stand ready to answer and be sent to the Russian front as long as I can drive this their.

cheers

My vehicle of choice in WWII would have been the Battleship USS Missouri, Something about the 16" rifles and their 52' long barrels firing a 2200 pound projectile 20+ miles while being in a Armored Turret with 24" of Armor plate that seems to fit my need for protection and hitting power.

Nothing like Naval fire power, yet this is a Tank forum, but my bias is showing a bit here toward the Navy.

But the tank of choice would have been the TIGER,just can't get past the 20 kills of the first Tiger engagement by Grossdeutschland's first Tiger Company.

If the Germans Had the Leopard the Russian response would have been to run, hide and surrender!

Oh well, the Navy would have been my service branch, and their is no way I would of ever climbed into a Sherman, not this guy! Oh well Rant over!

Hi, my torro king tiger also had alot of annoying problems when purchased, but after some tlc and a 2.4ghz system mated with a 5000ma battery am really enjoying this tank.
