Heng long truck

Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

When Tom said $50 he might have meant 50 pounds.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

You cannot compare, Max. With the truck I saw it coming. It was a pretty big box, so for me, it was clear that they were going to charge some shipping. With smaller things you dont have to worry about. For example two days ago I bought another Flysky TH9XB radio and I had free shipping.

But now you mention you have a benedini clone, have you wired lights to it? I have not tried it yet and I am not really sure about how to do it.

Without trying to start and argument the Clark for.the truck IS $50. Realised my auto correct goofed my post. What I was trying to say was for the price of an esc and a benedini clone you could get the Clark. Which also has some cool features like acting as a repair vehicle in IR battles if you wish. I know there's other factors like shipping and vouchers but more choice is better right?

Of course, Tom the more choices the better, and also the more functions the better. I would be happy of having docens of choices to play with.

But cost effective, the benedini clone is 20 and the ESC 5 bucks, so even when the clark is 50 bucks, its still double the price. And about the price, Maxxmaker said the clark was going to cost between 70 to 90 bucks...

But if the clark costs something about 40 id go for it, I think its easier to use. I still dont know how to wire lights to the benedini clone, lol.

There is three version of the MTK37 apparently (Like everything else Clark does, I am losing track of the different variations of the same thing). MTK37 is the base which is advertised as $50 USD. Then there is the MTK37S which I think stands for the SBus (So it is 10+ channels), and then there is the MTK37SP which has the SBus support and programmable sound as well. I was only interested in the base so I remember it being $50. I think the S might be $65 and then the SP is $75 USD ? Don't quote me on this but this is what I remember seeing.

I've heard about two that have been delivered in North America, but unfortunately mine wasn't one of them. Still waiting, impatiently!

I'm going to wait for the 6 wheeler, I have wanted a 1/16 Deuce and a Half for years, and this will be an excellent way to get one. I can scratch build the body shell, and maybe even sell the stock one to get some cash back.
