Good day Mr. Wolf. As always your details and work are tops. I was curious how the flap opened on the MG 34 ammo pouch so I asked on a Tiger group that David Byrden is active on and the consensus was the flap cover opened forwards. Granted the pouch is soft and may move this pic shows the cover forwards.
I haven't glued mine yet in case I find other pics to indicate otherwise or more commonly, but that's the direction I'm headed.

				Good Morning,
I agree with you! My flap is thick on this version of the ammo sack and it was an obvious thing to me to set the sack in place with the cap facing the opening of the mounting 'U' on the frame. I had honestly not given this any thought past this since some versions of the gurt sack I had used in the past had the ammo pre molded into the opening and the direction of the rounds had the hinge on the cap facing outwards, not forwards. I appreciate the info on this and will be more mindful in the future. I love the expression of the fellow in the photo. Says "I have a Tiger Tank and you don't."
regards,
Painless

Hmm...to me the "U"-shaped mounting frame and the flange (collar?) around the
Gurtsack both look square, such that the could
Gurtsack be hung in any direction. Of course, I'm a pro at getting this stuff wrong. I once put the ammo can on a the wrong side of a .50 cal.

I’d go with yes, it could be hung in any orientation depending on how diligent the person was that loaded the belt into it when it was dismounted.
Makes sense to me that a motion to open the sack & get the belt tab into the feed tray would see the lid opened away from the user.

Originally I thought it made sense for it to open to the outside but I also realized range of motion while loading the weapon.
I tried not to get hung up on it. Oooohhh the Tiger minutia. Adding a monkey wrench to the works the sacks would have been loaded manually by the crew or support teams before stowage and restock. So I guess it could open in any direction.

				Good Morning!
In the future, I will endeavor not to induce such cudgeling of our intellects with my detailing efforts! ;o)

				Good Morning,
A few last pics of this splendid Add-on Tank. I have only to add an Led to the Searchlight housing to call this mini Detail Job done. Thanks for allowing me to add a few ongoing pics of the Stuart to my King Tiger Build thread.

				Good Afternoon,
Cracking on with the Early Turret King Tiger. I took an hour and removed the Tools, Shackles and Bucket from the Hull sides to start sanding for Zim application. (Felt like more fun today!) A Couple of Pics!

				Good Morning,
Realized that I was out of periscopes suitable for German Armor. One of your In Country neighbors took care of it. Not too long to deliver and Shipping was moderate.

Oooh! Maybe now that you are retard...unh, retired, you could start your own business selling great 1/16 tank parts that seem to be available everywhere but in the U.S. No? Oh, well...
