Soeren,
the Muzzle brake look like never used, like new.
With a little bit black(dull) inside the look of the color is burned by Firing a bullet.... :D

Thanks for your comments. The muzzle brake is new, you remember? Got it last week ;)

I painted the thing german black brown inside and then shot the paint on from the outside. There is considerable shadow due to this approach. None the less, a read about the powder properties years ago, so dont do the powder black muzzle brakes. Weathering on the other hand has not started on any parts of the tank yet. Cant wirk with spirits and terpentine at the moment.

Today I took off the horrible Taigen muzzle brake. That is just press fit, you would have to cut almost 10mm from the barrel, there is no thread. After that you should be able to fit the ABER muzzle brake. Unfortunately it is out of stock now. So have to wait for the restock.

Great, please share your experience and opinions. I guess it will take a few weeks before sockelshop has it in stock again. Where did you order the kit?

Hello,
I wrote misleadingly.
There is no black color from the powder!
The paint burns due to the heat and is removed by the high pressure.
Color of steel would be better.
All Barrel for german tanks were shot for inspection by Heereswaffenamt Wa Prüf 6 before being installed in the tank.
After this the Tank get the Color, so it's not wrong how you did.

I was just kidding ;)
And for sure the use of guns did result in some change. Also the regular cleaning would result in some wear as well. But I am not at that step yet. To do some bare steel effect on the inside sounds like a very good idea.
