Thanks for the Input.

The reason why I asked, I wanted to work on some heat induced discoloration by applying a technique I recently found on the IPMS Toronto Brabakan Channel. That is: spraying with 80-90% thinner and applying opaque layers. He is using Tamiya paint. But I guess you can use Vallejo as well .

So I build up a Gradient of discoloration, First starting with my own Dark yellow mix (50/50 7028 and 1001) and then added a view Drops of Vallejo Rust 71.080. After That a mix of 7028 and Mahagony 70.035. So first getting yellow orange, then yellow orange Brown, then I followed with Mahagony in thinner and ended with dark yellow in thinner. That is the intermediate and the result. So the discoloration is based on the original Colors and has a orange/Brown tinge.

The chipping Looks a bit odd still. But I guess it Comes together with the Pigments added.

The chipping looks realistic to me. Image as if the heat has caused the paint to peel off in patches. Well done!

Thank you Sir,

still there is plenty to do. just mounted these pots and only have to paint and add the clipper. Had also done the Bix recommended welds to the front/back and side plate joints. More than one hour after work is not possible during the week. Well, slowly feeds the Oachkatzl.

Enough for this evening

You see how well Resedagrün und Sage merge? You can also find the olive in the shadows. 8)

Thanx dear Sirs.

After a short behind the Scenes talk with Invocator Mr Bix, I now got the plan for the Aerial/cleaning rod tube. Wip.

So I put on the washes, the clear coat and the second layer of filters. The filters were mixed MIG Tan Filter for German tri Tone Camo together with some Abt.502 Indutrial Earth and their Odourless thinner. In the second go I added a bit more of Abt.502 Raw Umber and kept it a bit heavier in the bottom section to give the first grime and streaking effects. For getting the feel of it, I also added the gun.

Now I have the Schumo towing cables as well. These are really easy to work with, even when not perfectly in scale.

Took a few shots under and overcast sky in between rain breaks.

Have a look

Mr Soeren really coming together now. Your colors are now looking much more fluid. What I must say is looking through my book of German armour there are many original photos in color of items the Americans collected at the Aberdeen proving ground that have much more vibrant color combinations for camoflouge than the traditional red-brown green and yellow. You have captured that with this piece.
