A couple of hours worth of work and a couple of pics to show for it. I can see tho' that without the specified tools, this would be a work of many more hours. Progress:

A little post in today, something for the eventual electronics. Tonight saw another panel of the lower hull completed. It is good to see nightly progress made on this very large build. ;o) Pics: ( click to enlarge )

And the drilling and tapping and bolting on of brass goes on and on... ;o) All part of the fun of working with this Stuart. I am getting to the point where I can see the running gear all installed and the interior painted and ready for new electronics. Pics: ( click to enlarge )

I am so very impressed with all the detail you're putting into the UNDERSIDE of the Stuart! Especially since (and, I am NOT trying to jinx you) nobody is going to see it unless you suffer a roll-over!
It continues to be a stellar build, and I know Mr. Steinbrunn will happy he inspired you.

Thanks for looking in and checking out my work(fun). ;o) As I recall, you built one of these some time ago ( for the fellow who had it mounted in his Office. I would love to see pics of that one for inspiration. I had always planned on adding a good amount of detail to the tank. Until I read Bob' Steinbrunns book, I guess that I had not seen the limits of what was possible. It remains my task to place my own stamp on this build and make it fun in the process. Underside detail, *laughes* I think that I will have a mirror under it when it is on its stand. ;o) Don't be a stranger, my Friend.

Actually, I check in on your progress on the Stuart almost daily; as so few people are working on them nowadays, (and certainly not putting in the effort that you are on it)! No, the one in my friend's office was an unmodified static one that you now have the tracks for. I still haven't ever posted a picture of anything, but whenever I get around to starting the M2A4; I will certainly need to follow your lead and do that.

Mike! I have your mantlet and set of resin\plastic tracks off of this RC version awaiting you. ) Thank you again, Sir. So tonight, I was steaming at flank speed towards what I thought would be the end of the underside detail on the lower hull when suddenly, like a bat to the jubblies, I noticed that I had run out of 256 x 1/8 brass bolts...Well, a couple of days will see more from Micro Fasteners. Those folks are on the money for speedy delivery times. ;o) There is certainly more to do while I wait. Pics: ( click to enlarge )

Just a little time on Sunday to start work on the return rollers new configuration. Removing the first set was fairly easy...Cutting another four stock rollers down to make parts for four new static style solid rollers, not so much. Pics: ( click to enlarge )

Mail came from Micro Fasteners today as the second shipment of 256- 1/8 bolts came in. All of the detail is on the bottom of the tank now. Tonight I started on the rest of the Lower hull by bolting the spacers into their slots at the bow. Pics: ( Click to enlarge )

Now back to the tank, very well done and as usual Mr Wolf your attention to the little details sets you apart from the rest.
